Hey there! I’m John, a self-proclaimed scientist and amateur photographer from a small town outside of Poughkeepsie, New York, located in the beautiful Hudson Valley. I am fortunate to have been blessed with endless bucolic views throughout my childhood, and growing up in rural New York has influenced my style of photography ever since I picked up the hobby in 2012. While I love my hometown, I also have quite the case of wanderlust, and take every opportunity to explore somewhere new.

I recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Since then, I have returned to my hometown, and I will be working in HIV prevention at a non-profit in the City of Poughkeepsie until starting medical school in August 2018. Although work keeps me busy, I try my best to squeeze a new trip into my schedule whenever I can.

My preferred photography style is landscape, and my goal is to give the public a glimpse of the world through my perspective. Although I’ve haven’t had the chance to travel very much, I’m committed to making every new place I visit an adventure, regardless of how insignificant it may seem. In the future, I look forward to traveling internationally and plan to document each of my experiences through photography. Feel free to follow me on my journey, and check back as I add to this collection of sights, experiences, and places I’ve fallen in love with.
